The hangi was part of the great Waitangi day celebration in Paeroa with live music, organised by Mel Budge..

The waitangi day, is the day the English and Maori signed the Treaty of Waitangi on the 6th of February 1840. The Treaty changed the war of weapons into a war of lawyers. Which is good, so we can have hangis and beer together.
